Milk Jug Bird Feeders

Recycle a milk jug and make new feathered friends with this creative nature craft for kids.

What you'll need:

  • Gallon milk jug with lid
  • Sharp pointed scissors
  • Pencils
  • Bird seed
  • String, optional

How to make it:

  1. Rinse out an empty plastic gallon milk jug with lid.
  2. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Cut a window in the front of the jug, and make two small poke holes for the perches.
  4. Insert pencils for perches and fill the bottom of the jug with bird seed.
  5. You can either rest the bird feeder on a ledge or punch holes near the top, add string, and hang from a branch.
