Similar in concept to the Jr. Adventures from Humongous Entertainment, where children search different locales for objects that will help various characters, this game is directed more toward the lower end of the age range, and is perfect for children ages 3-6. There are 20 characters from favorite Mother Goose rhymes, and each one has misplaced something. Children will need to search for each object, and return it to the character, who will then sing a cute song. Only one object can be carried at a time, but they can be exchanged for another one that is found. The objects' location randomizes each new game, so there is plenty of replay value here. Features:
Technical AspectsThis program was easy to install, and ran well. The animation is cartoonish, but as it's an older program (1995), may appear a little outdated to some. The backgrounds and characters are beautifully drawn, and quite charming. Kids will love the songs, and sing along.There is a text option, so for hearing impaired children who can read, this game will be enjoyable. Report and Conclusions:Our family has had this game for several years, and it has been a long time favorite. Although not "educational", children will stretch those brain muscles by having to reason what needs to be done next, and memory skills will also be practiced. It is an excellent program for computer beginners. If you're looking for a program for your preschooler that is fun, but won't bust your budget, then this is an excellent choice. |  |

Mixed Up Mother Goose Deluxe is a delightful game for young children! Filled with gentle humor, catchy music, and adventure, this game is an excellent way to stimulate critical thinking and have fun, too.
